I received two of these bulbs to test as part of a local energy company pilot program. I've experimented with a few other flood replacement bulbs, in a similar price range. I liked the original 2 enough to buy two more from Amazon to fully light my kitchen.

They are extremely bright without a dimmer. Much brighter than the 75w halogen floods I had in the fixtures previously. All 4 bulbs use less energy than a single halogen, and once you put them on a dimmer, they'll consume even less power.

There is a slight delay (0.1-0.2 seconds?) from the moment you flip the switch to light. That's to be expected - what you're really paying for with these fixtures is a high quality power supply. The light emitting diodes will probably fail in 50 years - but the power supply is now the life-limiting factor in these light sources.

There's no buzz (even when dimmed), no flicker, and very even light distribution from this product.

The visible light spectrum is different than a halogen - don't expect the same light 'feel' - but the light is very visually pleasing all the same.
