Excellent bulbs! I've had Philips EnduraLED lights for a year in the museum I built.-The 10W bulbs with 36 degree beamspread floods are good enough to have six or so adequately cover a 10'x10' room with ten foot ceilings with light.
-None of these bulbs have dimmed or failed in the one year use.
-We use them in our track lights that function on a motion sensor so there is a good amount of turning on/off the lights in a room.
-3000K is about the closest you can get to natural light colors and is a nice cool, white color. Not harsh or changing the color of the objects on display.
-These bulbs merely sip energy and the small amount of heat given off is noticeable during the summer air-conditioning season.
-The only downside is the cost. They came down about 20%-25% in price in Jan. 2012. You WILL easily get the savings back in 1-3 years of operation but the up front costs are a little hard to get approved. Half of our track lights are very hot halogen's with a harsher light and a narrower beamspread. Halogen light and heat is not as safe for the objects either.
-If you can afford it upfront, definitely buy these! They are dependable and you will get your money back in electric savings and damage savings.
