After using 74B� Yellow Wire-nut� Wire Connectors for many years I tried this "Twister 341" model from the same company.

I like the "one size fits all" idea, but I feel their claims are overstated.

2 #18 wires do not hold well at all. Even 3 #18 is disappointing, as is 1 #14.

A large combo such as 4 #12 wires works OK, but if you twist too hard, the plastic starts to blow out. It expands and gets little white lines. Traditional Wire Nuts� never do that. It's a whole different kind of plastic.

The above are all wire combos that are specifically listed on the jar.

These connectors are handy, but not the best if you're into rock solid and fool proof.

PROs:

~~> Easier on your fingers (both hand turning and 5/16" socket drive)
~~> Handles a wider range of wire sizes (for most jobs, one size fits all)

CONs:

~~> They don't work well with the smallest wire gauges.
~~> They start to blow out a little on the largest wire gauges.
~~> 40% to 55% more expensive than the traditional Wire Nut� style.

Pricing: Usually much cheaper at Home Depot (under 9 cents each -- 150 pc jar) than on amazon.
