Just fyi to possible fellow Mac users now with Lion installed. This cable works with Leopard fine, but not with Lion. This is probably more a driver issue than the cable itself.
Unfortunately Pentax has no new drivers for Lion. I did find however that my son's USB cable for his USB Cable For Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ8/DMC-LZ10/DMC-TZ1/LZ1/LX3/LZ7/TZ1/FZ8/TZ4/G1/Z15 & Many More! works for my Pentax Optio M40 in Lion just fine.
