This Dayton #2M145 AC DC 1/2 Hp 115 volt electric motor is well built and gets the job done. Smooth, quiet operation, ball bearing, 3/8 dia shaft, make this motor a winner. This motor runs cooler than the smaller AC DC electric motors I have used before. Available in CCW rotation only, however if you reverse the wiring on the brushes, which I did, it will run CW just fine. It is a non standard frame motor with threaded holes for mounting on the flat side of the motor. I just used hose clamps to mount the motor, no problem.
