A.O. Smith FE1028SF 1/4 HP, 825 RPM, 825 volts, 1.5 Amps, 48 Frame, Ball Bearing Condenser Motor Review

I bought this to replace a bad motor that previous house owner used to replace the original motor on the Air Conditioner in the house.

The A.O. Smith motor have a higher rated operating temp (70C compared to most other motor which is only rated at 60C).

This ball bearing fan is also considerably quieter than the cheapo sleeve bearing motor that it replaced.

******The installation is very easy and straight forward, make note of your old wiring setup. The only thing you have to take note is that make sure to mark your fan's relative height and position on your old motor that you are replacing, because incorrect placement of the fan blade in the wrong grove could cause a significant wobble when the motor is running.

HVAC guy want to charge us $450 for a motor replacement, $150 for capacitor replacement, when you can just do it yourself very easily for $150 fan parts + $8 capacitor, it's a no brainer.
