These are very good quality resistors at a great price. As far as I can tell, they are just as good as similar products which cost twice as much (because you get TWO of these for the same price that many other sellers charge for just one). The aluminum housings are top notch and the connection points aren't loose or wiggly in any way. Aluminum housed resistors like these are far better than than ceramic high-power resistors, and in my opinion they are well worth the extra money. And yes... they are actually green anodized, which is a nice touch I think.

These are rated at 100W max, but I highly recommend that you mount them to a metal surface if you plan on going over 20W, otherwise they will get VERY HOT if they cannot dissipate the heat into something else. All I did was mount each one on to a 2" x 4" piece of 1/8" aluminum plate. These 100W resistors are actually the same size as the 50W equivalents, but with an additional tab on one side to increase the contact area with whatever its mounted on.

I bought these to use as load resistors for the LED turn signals which I recently installed in my car. The advantages of using LEDs instead of the regular 21W bulbs are pretty obvious, but because the LEDs have a much higher resistance than a regular light bulb they will cause the turn signals to blink really fast (and that makes you look like a fool). By wiring one of these resistors in parallel with LEDs on each side (one for left and one for right) you can "trick" the blinker relays to behave like there is still a normal bulb installed, causing it to flash at a normal rate. Works Perfectly.
