Viribright Benchmark LED linear retrofit kit (LRK) T8 with dual redundant safety switch (DRSS) is patent protected, in addition to its UL-certified status. The Viribright Benchmark LED T8 (LRK) features two safety switches which are designed to prevent electrical shock during the installation and retrofit of existing fluorescent fixtures.

The installation of Viribright Benchmark LED linear retrofit kit (LRK), is simple and requires only the ballast removal and a simple re-wire at the ballast insertion of the LED (LRK). This allows the existing wiring to remain intact, saving time and labor thus money. Our patented design prevents any electrical current form energizing the light tube before it is completely installed in the standard G13 shunted lamp holders.

I had a T12 single 2 foot fixture in my kitchen that was having trouble coming on. I figured, "hey, why not LED?" Looked them up and ended up getting this one, the single end wiring of hot and neutral was scaring me as my fixture was pretty old.

I had two white wires on the left along with a single green and two red wires on the right. I figured hey, "single green, I should probably tie that into the copper ground wire that I have." Bad idea, turns out it was shorting out neutral, makes sense as the green wire was seemingly connected to neutral on the left edge. Either way, connected one of the white to neutral and the two red to black/hot. Plugged it in and it lit up no problem. VERY bright, almost too bright. I can't imagine how bright "daylight" would be. I wonder what warm white would look like.
