The GE PAR30 short neck bulbs are perfect replacements for halogen track lighting bulbs and are available with 3000k color temperature and 35 degree beam spread, which is unusual. However, this is one of the few cases where the Amazon price is not competitive. I bought 8 of these for <$27 each over the contractor counter at my local electrical supply house.

Should you have a need to pull the cover off your machine (you should to at least vacuum it out from time to time) you're going to come in contact with all them parts in there. Since the human body has an affinity for electro-static charge, its possible that you might touch one of the more expensive parts (think video card) and fry it with your "electromagnetic personality". This wrist strap, for about $6 (cheap), is a reasonable acquisition to prevent such a disaster. This one is light and provides plenty of move-around space with a 6 foot stretch cable. Only fault with this unit is the alligator clip. I wish it had a stronger bite in the jaws. Made me nervous when it slid around (although didn't come off) when my movements put pressure at that end. Otherwise, good buy, cheap, received within stated parameters. I'm satisfied.

Martekled LEDCTC LED Chandelier Candelabra Base Dimmable Warm White Review

I bought one to see how it would look as a replacement for the 12 year old 40W incandescents on a chandelier. From the photos and description, I assumed it would be a candle shaped bulb, with a brass colored rings. What I recceived was a flame shaped bulb with a silver ring.

As for the bulb itself, the light comes on immediately, and it does have a warmish color. It's clearly whiter than the other bulbs when, but I doubt it will be very noticeable when all of them are replaced. It is a dimmable bulb, but for settings where you are going for a particular ambience, such as a cozy or romantic dinner, you probably won't like this bulb. In those kinds of situations, the color of the light gets much warmer as the light output goes down. In the case of these LED bulbs, while the light output does go down, the color stays the same color, and the color temperature definitely looks much cooler when the bulb is dimmed.

Since I always use the chandelier in the brightest setting, it works fine for me. I knocked off a star because the shape and the color of the ring around the base were not what I was expecting.

I just ordered nine more to replace the remaining bulbs. If they all look the same as the test bulb, they'll be fine, but if they're different, I'll update this review with some more negativity....
