Mini Twist Soft White Ecobulb, 18 Watt Review

I was skeptical about CFL bulbs. I'd tried one of them before, and found their light too harsh, too cold. But when I was buying some colored CFLs for a party, and as long as I was already paying for shipping I threw in a few of these too, mainly because they were so cheap ($1.11 each).

They were a very pleasant surprise. The light they produce is bright only slightly cooler than tungsten bulbs. They are bright (comparable to 75w bulb), but take the tint of the lamp shades well, and I was surprised how warm the overall effect was. I'd recommend these for anyone who wants to switch to CFL bulbs and prefers a bright, warm light.

Like all basic CFLs, they're not for use with dimmer switches.

I don't know how they'll hold up over time, but after seeing how these worked out, I was planning to stock up and changing all of them over, but then the raised the prices to the average, so I'm shopping around for a more reliable brand name.
