The Viribright Benchmark LED T8 (LRK) features two safety switches which are designed to prevent electrical shock during the installation and retrofit of existing fluorescent fixtures.

The installation of Viribright Benchmark LED linear retrofit kit (LRK), is simple and requires only the ballast removal and a simple re-wire at the ballast insertion of the LED (LRK). This allows the existing wiring to remain intact, saving time and labor thus money. Our patented design prevents any electrical current form energizing the light tube before it is completely installed in the standard G13 shunted lamp holders.

These are great lights, if you can stomach the price. Bright as all you want. Saw them in a trailer and wanted to put in place of the reg tube lights. Did the minimal wiring needed to replace only to realize after installing them that I have 12 volts and these are 110 replacements. My fault. No warm up, instant on. Will make you a great change. I was very disappointed, because they where exactly what I needed if they had been made for the 12 volt current.

I have purchased these lights for a video documentary with over 80 interviews in all different lighting situations. I ahve to admit that we have handled them quite rough. They have been thrown in the back of the car flown once around the globe and have never failed. Only one bulb was damaged by a suitcase and that's it. The light is sufficient and absolutely clear. The stands are strong enough and the reflector is strong and bright. I am using the little shower cap which comes with the reflector and never used the softbox. So I do not know if they are hard to install. If someone wants to buy them. you are welcome. Send an email to [...] and let me know. The shower cap in front of the reflector has the same effect as the softbox and the bulbs are much more protected.

Used this cabling for a cheaper method of wiring DMX lighting which requires shielding. Because this is cat5, the wire is very small and fragile when soldering XLR connectors to it. It requires more delicacy because of that but the cost savings is worth it.
