The bulb itself is great,however I had to shave off some of the light fixture's bulb holder (insulating, brittle white part) with a diamond blade on a 4" grinder to get it to make contact electrically. I had to do the same thing with some CFL floods from another vendor as well. Somebody in these industries is not conforming to specs?

I'm an electrician and I've installed these at work in several of the conference rooms. Despite the huge heatsink, they are amazingly lightweight.

Not too many problems with them, but one light turned "pink", which we've replaced today. They are covered under a three-year warranty so no big deal. We'll see how the RMA process works.

For my own preference, I'd rather have 4100k instead of 3500k, but I like bright true white lights, I hate soft light.

Minus 1 star for fault with 1 of 20 lamps installed in 6 months.

Seems to be well made and screwed into a standard American bulb socket. Hopefully, the chrome plated flex tube will not rust - I installed it under an eave. One must consider the length needed when wanting to extend light to an unlit area.
