I bought 2 of these about 2 weeks ago for recessed lights in our master bath. I paid 2 bux and 88 cents a piece for them, which is a good price. The lights are above a 2 sink vanity and they give off a pleasant soft white, slightly whiter than incandescant glow. They definitely flood the room nicely and evenly. I don't know why it says 'instant start' because these take about 20 seconds to hit full luminousity, but they have very good instant output so you don't feel like your going to be fumbling around in the dark waiting for them to warm up. I gave them 5 stars because they don't disappoint, but I will edit my review if they start to fade too quickly or go out prematurely.
